THE WATCHMAN'S POST
Thanks for your interested in submitting to our paper.
Right now, we are seeking resident writers as well as stand-alone submissions. If you are interested in becoming a resident staff member, please specify that in your entry. You will be considered and we will get back to you within a two week period of time at most.
Otherwise, we will consider your entry as a stand-alone submission for an upcoming print edition of The Watchman's Post, or to be published electronically on the website. We reserve the right to reject or accept any writing due to our discretion.
We publish a vast range of things, which fall under creative and non-fiction.
We also are interested in opinion pieces. We want to make your voices heard and we know you have a lot of interesting, important things to share. We seek to capture fresh, genuine voices. This list is not comprehensive- if you have an idea not listed here, submit anyway, and we will respond to you in a timely manner. Please do refrain from extraneous swearing and sexual content at this time, due to the demographic of our reading audience.
Creative writing submissions could include:
-poetry
-short stories of any variety
-retellings of historical events
-novel installations
-lyrics
-personal anecdotes
-satire /comedy
For non-fiction, we seek:
-local news
-applicable political news, including legislature or social movements
-We are very interested in interviews and stories of humanity, especially in the local community, or including missionaries, pastors, homeschool alumni, and teachers
-business, science and technology reports
-reviews of literature, movies, and music
-how to guides and tutorials, recipes
-religious or devotional articles
-event and charity updates
